And Then There Were None

Last night I saw Agatha Cristie's And Then There Were None last night at my school. I will admit that it was a very slow starter, and I was having a bad evening, so I almost left. But I decided to stay and get my $3 worth. And I was not disappointed :) the ending was soooooo cute :) I loved it.

On a sadder note, we found out yesterday that my brother has a mild form of Asperbergers. We had suspected that this was the case for awhile... But to be honest I don't really know how to feel right now. It's weird.

I'm going over John's today :) can't wait.

Speech and Debate

My school's speech and debate team is a major part of my life. I have been placing consistantly in either 1st or 2nd class since I joined the team in the beginning of last year. But I've always done Dramatic Interp (where I read a monologue, required to be 6-10 minutes long), and I was getting rather bored. So I decided to double enter into Oral Interp Prose, where I read a selection from Victor Hugo's book Les Miserables. I won 1st place in the Oral Interp, and I won 2nd in Dramatic Interp. I was sooooooooooo excited :)

I also had my first practice for my school's music recital in March with my duet partner, ZM. I was worried that our voices might not blend, but they sounded fantastic together. We're going to be singing The Prayer duet as performed by Josh Groban and Charlotte Church. It is such a beautiful song, and if you haven't heard it before, you should give it a listen. Anything with Josh Groban is spectacular :)

That's all for now!

Ah Mingling, How Do I Love Thee

Okay, we had our county-wide drama festival today. It was absolutely lovely! :) We were the host school, so I only missed two of my classes. It was a fun day filled with performances from different schools, and I really enjoyed it.

First of all, this kid (who is a senior now) that sang Stars from Les Miserables at last year's theatre festival (which is different from the county drama festical), actually talked to me! He is spectacular! He really is one of my "people I know heroes". I also mingled with him, and about 5 other people from his school, and 3 from yet another school.

I love mingling. I love talking to people, and I love making new friends. A lot of people (including my boyfriend) do not like meeting new people, and prefer to have a few close friends. I, on the other hand, am what you could call a social butterfly. I love talking to people, and I love making friends. I probably won't talk to these people again for awhile, at least until the theatre festival next month, but it's nice to know people :)

Oh, and when Fight School performed (I don't know how popular they are nationwide), this was my favorite dialogue::

Blue: I got a 1470 on my SATs!
Black: Don't cheer him, he wasted all those points on a degree in theatre.
Blue: Hey, at least I can do this! (starts singing a Les Mis medley with Red)

Ah that was spectacular :) I love drama.

People Sucking Face

So, today my English teacher gave our class an assignment to write a satire on something that irks you. Well, EC and I are writing on people sucking face in the hallway.

I have a boyfriend. And I won't lie, I do kiss him in the hallway. But not excessively. We just kiss when we see each other at first, and then before we leave for class.

No, our essay will be on the couples who are practically getting each other naked before class. I'm sure we've all seen this. It is not a pleasant sight. Especially when you see the guy SHOVE HIS HAND DOWN THE BACK OF HER PANTS!!!!!! Ewwww.

But I won't give away all of the things EC and I will say in our essay. I want it to be a surprise ;)

Tomorrow is our County Drama Festival. It is going to be so fun. Since my school is the host, I don't have to perform, so I can just sit back and watch plays all day :) how lovely.

That's all for now :) Typing on my iPod is not fun lol

Gigs, Dances, And Burns

Okay let's start on Friday night. I went to my boyfriend's band's gig with my friend AR and her boyfriend, and one of the groupies (CS). There was a big problem before hand. I had originally reserved my table for 4, then EC remembered she had to baby sit, MB got sick, and RB didn't have a ride. So I ended up adding myself to AR's table instead.

The band actually played at the best I've ever seen them. They even got tipped in Canadian dollars as CS and I went around with the tip jar. It was funny. :)

Yesterday was the Snowflake dance. The band and all the groupies had originally planned on going together, then one by one something happened to each person so that it was just John and me going. He was in a bad mood all day. He doesn't really enjoy large social situations, especially ones with dances, and having almost none of his friends there didn't help. But he went with me anyway and we had a great time.

And this morning I was making eggs, and long story short I burnt my hand. Making typing very difficult. So I will stop here for now.

Hey Yo!

To my non-existent readers:
Hey there! My name is Sarah, and I'm just a girl going through life, taking everything one step at a time. I'm a regular (if not over-involved) teenager in the USA, and I'm love it.

I'm not labeled as an emo, or a prep, or a nerd, or a goth, or any of those things. If I had a label, it would be either a Performer, an Actress, or a Musician. All of which I would be more than happy with! I have friends on all ends of the spectrum. My best friends are EC, MB, RB, CS, KH, and of course John. EC and I have been inseparable since we met in 2008 while doing Les Miserables together at our school. We're practically sisters, and it's almost scary sometimes. MB, CS, and I have been friends since we met in September of 2009. We're all groupies for our boyfriends' bands, and go to every gig we can possibly make it to. We have had our arguments, but we love each other. RB is an honorary groupie, who while not having a boyfriend in the band, comes to most of the gigs to hang out with us. KH is one of my most considerate and sweet friends, who puts up with my narcissism and loves me all the same!

John is my boyfriend, and the drummer of his band. I'll be talking about him a lot, mostly since I'm always with him and a lot of things I want to share have to do with him.

I've been in many shows, such as the aforementioned Les Miserables, The Music Man, Altar Egos, Our Town, and Adventures In Oz (a collaboration of The Wizard of Oz, The Wiz, and Wicked). I've been in my school choirs for 7 years, and I took voice lessons for 2. I plan on going to college and major in either Musical Theatre or Vocal Education. I also play softball, and am currently play second base for my high school team.

My life revolves around music, theatre, my friends, and football (not necessarily in that order).

Josh Groban is my hero. I want to be him when I grow up.

My favorite show I have ever been in is Les Miserables.

I want to be in either You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown or Guys and Dolls before I die.

I love taking pictures. I take my camera with me everywhere, so I never miss an important moment.

I got my first iPod a month ago, after having MP3 players since I was 11. I love iPods.

I love the beach, and I plan on living on a private section of beach when I get older.

I want to inspire.

Love, Sarahh
